The Christmas Party Dress

I love getting dressed up for Christmas Day. It's nice to slip into a pretty party dress and a pair of fancy heels, even if the furthest you're going is the wheelie bin at the bottom of the drive.

My 2012 Christmas Party Dress is from Whistles. It's a real princess dress - sparkly and sticky-outy in fabulously festive green. The cool geometric print means it's not too saccarine sweet, and when worn with a long sleeve tee it's perfect for daytime celebrations.

what i wore blog post fashion blogger uk

I wore it with my favourite leopard print heels from Clarks aka The Most Comfortable Heels in the World (TM). I'm constantly surprised by the wide range of women's party shoes from Clarks* - the brand has really come on from the Magic Steps days. Although if I'm honest, I'd kill for another pair of those beauties.

Did you get dressed up for Christmas Day or were you chilling in your onesie?

  2. I didn't really dress up, I bought a new top and wore that, so I wasn't in my pj's, but not dressed up either! I love those shoes, they certainly look comfortable x

  3. I love your shoes - reminds me I should wear my leopard print heels more often! I've spent Christmas in my onesie - I'm incredibly lazy and don't really leave the house, haha! x

  8. As if you said Magic Steps. Oh sadness, my giant feet were too wide for them and it pains me to this very day. I like the heels though they're a *wee* bit low for me. What's the lipstick? The colour's fabulous x

  10. LOVE this, especially how you've added a long sleeve tee to a fab party dress.
I wore my favourite LBD, warm leggings, grey floral socks and grey feather earrings- a mix of casual and dressed up in one.

  24. Some very wearable new outfits from the Elie Tahari 2013 collection. Makes a change that you could wear any of these outfits whereas shows are normally themes that people then develop into something rather than ready to wear.

Have a great New Year everyone.
